Peter Farrell
Peter is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has seventeen years financial experience, eight years in chartered accounting and nine years in commercial roles.
His chartered accounting experience included management of a business recovery group in a Big Four firm that engaged in work from business appraisals, turnarounds, receiverships, solvent and insolvent liquidations and company restructurings and has presented an NZICA course on company restructuring. In addition he performed due diligence reviews and business valuations and was an audit associate for an international firm.
Peter’s commercial experience includes roles within large multinationals with significant manufacturing and FMCG bases.
Peter has been involved in:
- Assisting with a loss of profits insurance claim
- Providing expert witness evidence about relationship property in Court and Mediation
- Providing expert witness evidence about loss of profits in Court and Arbitration
- Various liquidations from Kerikeri, Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, New Plymouth and Napier
- Providing specialist due diligence assistance in Brisbane, Australia
- Negotiating an agreement with Iwi to utilise geothermal energy
- Introducing constraints based financial thinking, reports and process to support lean manufacturing and optimisation of product mix – leading to significant improvements in company profitability
- Numerous feasibility studies to support capital investment and product development projects

Simon Rogan
Simon’s background includes employment with large international accounting firms before spending eleven years running his own chartered accounting firm. He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is also the part owner of a niche food manufacturer / wholesaler where he is involved in production and overseas procurement.
His experience includes liquidations, numerous pre lending due diligence and business appraisals as well as the provision of taxation, creditor negotiation and restructuring advice.
Recent projects Simon has been involved in include:
- Review of general cost pricing and tendering process for a construction business
- Feasibility study and negotiations on a stalled medium sized apartment complex
- Part of an overseas marketing team for locally based regional consulting business
- Various appraisal engagements including business evaluations and support for financing
